JP Houston is an entertainer and media creator. His musical performances have conjured comparisons to piano greats like Harry Nilsson,and Billy Joel. His humor and storytelling have been compared to Bo Burnham and Tim Minchin. 

In 2014, Houston began his syndicated NPR show American Parlor Songbook. Weekly episodes feature JP's original songs and stories. The program is carried on 20 plus stations from Florida to Alaska.

JP has toured and recorded all over North America and Europe, with opening slots for artists like Leon Russell, Glen Hansard, Kyuss, and more. He has shared the stage and studio with notables like Victoria Williams, Tim Easton, Gram Rabbit, and was a member of Weezer side project The Relationship. 

In addition to his touring and recording, he has an extensive catalogue of material written for HBO, BBC, PBS, CBC, and a host of other major networks. A catalogue which includes a Gemini (Canadian Emmy) Nomination, and a song for The Macy's Parade.
