BIO

JP Houston is a singer-songwriter, producer, and storyteller. His performances have conjured comparisons to piano greats like Elton John, Randy Newman, Harry Nilsson, and Billy Joel. His humor and storytelling have been compared to Jean Shepherd and Will Rogers.

Houston has toured and recorded all over North America and Europe, sharing the stage or studio with Weezer side project The Relationship, Victoria Williams, Leon Russel, Kyuss, Gram Rabbit, The Nymphets, Glen Hansard, and host of other notable artists. In 2014, JP began his syndicated NPR show American Parlor Songbook. Weekly episode feature JP's original songs and stories. In addition to his touring and recording, he has an extensive catalogue of material written for HBO, BBC, PBS, CBC, and a host of other major networks, including a Canadian Emmy Nomination.
